Baltimore Children and Youth Fund and one of our newest grantees was highlighted in a Technical.ly feature on community-led investment in Baltimore youth.
This year, BCYF awarded $10 million in grants and 200+ hours of learning to organizations across the city that are building opportunities for young people to thrive. Among them is A Prosperous Tomorrow, a grassroots nonprofit that received a $250,000 Grassroots Fund award to expand programming over the next five years.
Led by CEO Devin Jackson, A Prosperous Tomorrow is growing its Future Tech Pioneers initiative, which teaches young Baltimoreans technology skills and connects them with career mentorship. In the interview with Technical.ly, Jackson emphasized the importance of using this funding to both strengthen programming and create a platform that uplifts voices too often left unheard.
