PreConference: The Gathering 2026
Building Baltimore’s Future: History, Leadership & Youth Power
Before The Gathering kicks off, we’re bringing 60 youth and adult leaders together for a full day of immersive learning, community connection, and action. PreCon TG26 features two tracks designed to deepen understanding, spark leadership, and co-create real solutions for Baltimore’s young people.
Track A: Charm City Youth Athletics
How can sports become a launchpad for leadership, belonging, and community? In this track, participants will visit a model athletics program, learn from youth athletes and coaches, explore barriers to access, and develop recommendations that shape the future of youth sports in Baltimore.
Track B: Baltimore History & Advocacy
Understanding where Baltimore has been is the key to shaping where it’s going. Participants will explore the city’s history through community walking tours, civil rights landmarks, neighborhood storytelling, and youth advocacy panels, then connect that history to today’s systems change work.

The day includes a community kickoff, storytelling, small-group discussions, field experiences, gallery walks, action planning, and a closing celebration.
