Project Description: Soccer Without Borders (SWB) comprehensive approach includes a program serving middle and high school students throughout the academic year, integrating soccer with English language development (ELD) and academic support; robust summer programming for students in grades K-12, designed to prevent summer learning loss; leadership development and employment opportunities for veteran participants; and a Family Mentor program that matches volunteers with newcomer families to serve as a Welcoming force and support system in Baltimore. This broad portfolio serves to ensure that newcomer youth who are involved with SWB will have the opportunity to gain life-skills and leadership through long-term engagement through the continuum of programs.
