Project Description: The objective and purpose of this grassroots organization is to enhance the quality of life for Baltimore City children, youth, and young adults by teaching, coaching, mentoring and educating through baseball as a means to supplement education obtained in local schools. The mission is to rejuvenate the game of baseball/softball in Baltimore City while cultivating cultural diversity and youth development in all aspects of the game.

BUBA serves 325 city youth annually through a series of programs. All programs align by working with youth and young adults, parents, coaches and teachers and aim to foster an environment for learning skills, growth, building character, empowerment and fulfillment – including tools and resources for college advancement. They can accomplish via Youth-Centered Community + Network Building and Youth-Centered Spaces. Funding will be used to invest in materials/equipment and facility improvements to Frederick Douglass HS baseball field and the UA House at Fayette. The goal is to increase the quantity and quality of baseball/softball resources in Baltimore.
