What is BCYF Month?

Baltimore Children & Youth Fund celebrates its birthday (incorporation day) every August. This August, we are launching a special fundraising campaign designed to empower Baltimore’s youth and strengthen our community in honor of our third birthday. This inaugural campaign invites small businesses in Baltimore to make a difference by donating a portion of their August sales to support the Baltimore Children & Youth Fund’s impact programs and operations. We can create a brighter future for our city’s young people. The Baltimore Children & Youth Fund (BCYF) works to empower Baltimore’s youth and ensure their success. We disburse 80% of our budget to youth-serving organizations, with 88% being Black-led, effectively reaching those who need it most. By supporting BCYF, you play a vital role in creating our city’s thriving and equitable future.

Why should I support it?

This campaign aims to foster a stronger connection between our business community and BCYF. By participating, businesses ensure BCYF continues to bolster its impact with our grassroots leaders and young people we serve while gaining marketing benefits and networking opportunities for their business. We deeply value the support of companies like yours, and to show our appreciation, we have curated exclusive benefits for participating BCYF Month donors:

Your business will be featured on BCYF’s social media materials dedicated to the BCYF Month Campaign, highlighting your commitment to Baltimore’s youth.

Businesses that commit to donating 5% or more of their August sales will receive a solo spotlight via a reel or story, giving you increased visibility and exposure.

Your business will be listed on the BCYF Month Campaign page on bcyfund.org, and your participation will be highlighted in media materials, showcasing your support to a broader audience.

As a participating business, you and one guest will be invited to attend Baltimore Children & Youth Fund’s October luncheon. This event offers networking opportunities with BCYF President Alysia Lee, BCYF’s 90+ grantee organizations, and influential community leaders in Baltimore.

You will receive a BCYF support sticker for your business’s window, proudly displaying your commitment to Baltimore’s youth and fostering trust among customers.

Baltimore Children & Youth Fund is a 501(c)3 Public Charity, making all donations your business makes to BCYF tax deductible.
